“Movement education should be understandable, practical, and accessible — for everyone.”
Irene Ho Yu has spent more than 11 years studying, practicing, and teaching stretching, flexibility, mobility, and movement education. Her background spans a wide range of movement disciplines, always with a focus on how the body moves and how that movement can be improved through education.
She started MoveLoom LLC to bring thoughtful, approachable movement education online — making it available to people who want to learn from home, on their own schedule, without needing a gym or a studio.
Irene's teaching philosophy is rooted in clarity and practicality. She believes that most people don't need complicated programs — they need clear explanations, progressive practice, and the understanding of why each movement matters.
Based in Long Beach, California, Irene works with students across the country through MoveLoom's online programs.
How MoveLoom approaches
movement education
Clarity over complexity
Movement education doesn't need to be complicated. Clear explanations and simple progressions work better than jargon.
Practice over perfection
Consistency matters more than intensity. A short daily practice builds more lasting change than occasional intense sessions.
Understanding over imitation
When you understand why a movement works, you can adapt it to your own body rather than just copying a shape.
Accessible to everyone
MoveLoom programs are designed for ordinary people — not athletes, not fitness enthusiasts — just people who want to move better.
